PlanetaryAccretion in 2D
I have tried a simulation with planetary accretion used in 2D (Layers=1) It seems the routine disk.accreteOnPlanets(dt) is not active since: (in /scratch/elena/TypeIIMigration2D/ramp_arithm_large/Alpha3e3_O1/relaxBoundEvaForGiant/out$ h5dump -a physic/planetary_system/planets/Jupiter/accretion_time disk0.h5 )
HDF5 "disk0.h5" {
ATTRIBUTE "accretion_time" {
DATATYPE H5T_IEEE_F64LE
DATASPACE SCALAR
DATA {
(0): nan
}
}
}
and by the way the routine: accreteOnPlanets is written for 3D case, may be few modifications are needed to be used for 2D case
anyway I am totally lost :
I wrote in the comment on the Wiki:
physicExtractor.cpp:
doc(cfg, "PlanetarySystem.Planets.AccretionTimeInverse") << "*(optional)* used only if AccreteontoPlanets is true,
this parameter sets the inverse timescale of gas accretion onto the planet";
but I think is false, AccreteOntoPlanets regulate the fact that mass is accreted onto the planet,
AccretionTimeInverse can be used with AccreteontoPlanets false: meaning that we get rid of the gas entering in a fraction of the Hill sphere
