Build at Salomon (IT4Innovations)
Dear Alain,
the access works just fine, thanks! I am now trying to compile the code on one of the clusters that I usually use but I am having some problems. Would you be so kind to help me with the process?
I got this far:
- enabled the code download through ssh keys on gitlab
- cloned the latest code version via git
- used 'module load' on the cluster to load mandatory tools/libraries
- tried 'cmake' but this step failed with some errors
From what I understand, cmake cannot access some mandatory stuff (such as MPI and Python) or maybe it just cannot get the correct path. I tried loading different versions of modules available at the cluster (recent/older MPI etc) but to no success.
What confuses me is this: when I load modules which I think should be correct (according to the code wiki) and try to compile an old version of FargOCA (which dates back to the first FargOCA meeting in 2018), cmake does not complain at all. I am sending attached output logs written by cmake for the old code version (file 'compilation_working.log') and for the new version (file 'compilation_failed.log'). Both were achieved using the same modules, the old one works but the new one fails. Do you have any idea how to troubleshoot this? Let me know if you need some more info from me.
Thanks, Ondrej
