FARGOCA is a grid-based hydrodynamical code that run on CPU clusters (MPI+OpenMP parallelization) specifically designed for the study of protoplanetary disks and for planets-disk interactions.
The main features of FARGOCA are:
- Spherical geometry
- 2 and 3 dimensional calculations
- FARGO algorithm for orbital advection calculations
- Full Energy equation taking into account viscous heating, star radiation, radiation from planets accreting solids and radiative cooling with multiple opacity prescriptions
The code has been re-factorized from its original version (Lega et al. 2014) by A. Miniussi (main developper) and E. Lega.
A set of integration test provides code validation as well as suitably selected examples that provide a starting point for code usage.
