The **FARGOCA** code is a 3D version of FARGO, developed in 2011 in its isothermal version,
has evolved since then with the addition of the treatment of energy equation with energy provided by the viscous and compressional heating and by the energy irradiated from the star.
In 2017 we have started a code re-factorization with the main purpose of reorganize and optimize it in view of future developments.
FARGOCA is a grid-based hydrodynamical code that run on CPU clusters (MPI+OpenMP parallelization) specifically designed for the study of protoplanetary disks and for planets-disk interactions.
The main features of FARGOCA are:
1) Spherical geometry
2) 2 and 3 dimensional calculations
3) FARGO algorithm for orbital advection calculations
4) Full Energy equation taking into account viscous heating, star radiation, radiation from planets accreting solids and radiative cooling with multiple opacity prescriptions
The code has been re-factorized from its original version (Lega et al. 2014) by A. Miniussi (main developper) and E. Lega
A set of integration test provides code validation as well as suitably selected examples that provide a starting point for code usage.
