Slow run when running through slurm
@gpichier , @elena , this is here
Yes, I have on MPIA's bachelor cluster a run with runMPI.sh running with 0.03s per step, which is the simulation I am trying to reproduce with a slurm script. It is the standard simulation in the examples/2D_isothermal_disk folder. There the grid is:
Radii 200
Sectors 4
Layers 1
Probably Elena's run takes 4 seconds and not 0.03 seconds because the grid she used has about 100 more resolution so it's expected that it takes her about 100 times more than my 0.03 seconds.
But this is a different issue. What I want to do is to run the same exact simulation that is contained in the folder examples/2D_isothermal_disk, but using a slurm script, and get it to run with the speed of 0.03s per step.
Could you not try to do this exact thing on your cluster and see what happens there? Just copy the disk0.h5 from examples/2D_isothermal_disk/out4 in a new folder, create a slurm script and see if it runs at the same speed.
